Condemns assault on Malik,ors
Srinagar, Oct 20, CNS: While strongly condemning the murderous assault by the police on senior Hurriyat leader and JKLF chief Mohammad Yaseen Malik and continuous house arrest of the pro-freedom leaders Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Altaf Ahmad Shah and Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar and police raids over the residences of many Hurriyat leaders and activists including Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Srinagar and Gandarbal Raja Mehraj-ud-din, Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani appealed the people to hold peaceful protest demonstrations after the Friday prayers in every region of the state on 23 October against the death of Zahid Rasool Bhat of Batengoo, and his another associate Showkat Ahmad who is battling for life in Safderjung Hospital in New Delhi who were burnt alive by the communal forces at Udhampur.
While blaming the BJP-PDP coalition government for the Udhampur like incidents, Geelani sahab said that BJP is an open book of communal hatred and Mufti Sayeed Sahab by merging with this party gave them a chance to rule Jammu & Kashmir and they openly showed their communal and fascist face to the people of the state.
He said that the death of Zahid Rasool and life threatening burn injuries to the Showkat Ahmad is a big tragedy for the Muslims of Kashmir and these kinds of terrorist activities of the government sponsored terrorists should be condemned at each level and every conscience person should protest this grave incident. While reiterating his demand for registration of murder charges and capital punishment to the Udhampur attack culprits, Hurriyat chairman said that the case should be held on fast track bases and the involved persons should be hanged in public.
Geelani said that the people of Jammu & Kashmir are the worst victims of the state terrorism of India and we have always raised our voices against their barbarism and the illegal and forced occupation of the state. Geelani sahab appealed the people to hold peaceful protest demonstration on Friday after the prayers in every region of Jammu & Kashmir against the barbaric and terrorist actions of the communal forces. Geelani sahab said that our protest should be peaceful, disciplined and according to the Islamic principles and we should not protest against any particular community nor should we damage anybodies property.
He said that God forbid if our youths will harm or damage the Jammu born vehicles that too will be condemnable. We have to protest against the inhuman and terrorist actions of the communal forces and in reaction to that we have to show extreme maturity and farsightedness and we have to show difference between the attackers and peace loving people. Geelani also appealed the Muslims and peace loving people of Pir Panjal and Chenab valley to hold peaceful protest demonstration on Friday and send a strong message to the communal forces that their evil designs are never going to succeed and we are united against such terrorism.
Geelani appealed the world community to take serious notice of the inhuman approach of the Indian government towards the minorities and save the precious human lives from the barbarism of the communal forces. Meanwhile All Parties Hurriyat Conference is organizing an condolence meeting on 22 October Thursday at Batengoo Islamabad and Hurriyat conference had appealed people of the areas to participate in the event.
