Srinagar, Oct 19: An active worker of Quit Kashmir movement launched by Sheikh Abdullah against Dogra rule passed away in Srinagar on Monday.
Haji Mohammad Munawar Lone of Khalifapora Khanyar breathed his last after brief illness in Monday.
He had actively participated in the freedom struggle in late 40’s and was imprisoned for many years.
Lone was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard and Malteng Dalgate. Hundreds of people participated in his last rites.
Family sources said the Fateh will be observed on October 19th at graveyard and also at community hall Khalifpora.
Meanwhile Acting General Secretary Kashmir Bar Association Advocate GN Shaheen has condoled the demise of former freedom fighter.
