Cultural academy organizes Multi-lingual poetic session in Bandipora

Bandipora, Sept 23: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages on Wednesday   organized a multi lingual poetic session here in Town Hall Bandipora.

Around 50 poets of various communities participated in the session which was organised by Academy in collaboration with literary forum Bandipora.

The programme started with the welcome address of Mansoor Muntazir General Secretary Literary Forum, he said the main objective of these activities is to involve budding writers and poets of all communities in the society so that they can contribute to their respective miniature cultures and languages

language and was not only to inculcate the writing skills and spirit among younger generation but also spreading a massage of peace, prosperity, communal harmony, brother hood, oneness and to attract them towards local languages and folk art.

The function was presided over by a renowned Poet and writer Prof (Rtd) Ismail Ashana, Shahbaz Hakbari, Mubashir Nazki and Mir Dachigami of LFB.

the poets presented their   latest poetic collection on the occasion were Mansoor Muntazir,Majeed Majazi,Sufi Showket,Ahad Para,Mubashir Nazki,Dr Nisarun Nabi,Rouf Gayil,Munawar Parvana and others .

Teachers, Traders and civil society members participated in event and appreciated the steps of cultural officer taken for the developments of local languages, folk music and folk art. The programme was conducted by Majeed Majazi a poet from Hajin.

Later Ismail Ashana appreciated the work of Literary Forum Bandipora and suggested holding of such events in all parts of the district so that unexplored talented can be utilised.

Mir Dachigami appreciated the work and culture of Secretary JKAACL Dr Aziz Hajini.

Highlighting the importance of   holding cultural and literary activities by academy, Mir said that academy got boost in it activists after it got leader like Dr Hajini.

Mir suggested Dr Hajini to hold the literary sessions and Symposia in local schools and colleges of so that budding   or unexplored poets can be searched.

“ to revitalized the lost literary taste among youth, academy should hold poetry and literary competitions in educational institutes” Mir said, while  thanking officials of JKAACL.
