District administration on Wednesday conducted the second round of Super Fifty Model examinations.
Nearly 300 students of Class X from across all High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools in Bandipore District wrote the Model Examination conducted as part of the New Leaf Initiative.
These exams were held in four centres – Sumbal, Bandipore, Gurez and Telail. An official of the department said students braved the torrential downpour to appear in the examination which was held in two sessions of 2.5hrs each.
“The answer sheets are being evaluated and the results would be announced shortly,” he added.
Earlier department declared the results of the first Super Fifty Examination that were held in the district in August. Seerat Touibah from Government Secondary School Bandipora topped the exams with 124 points.
The program of top fifty is part of the New Leaf Initiative (NLI) with the aim to give the best students of class 10th hailing from District Bandipora an opportunity to prove their metal in the upcoming board exams.
Under this program a mock test series was started for the students in four main subjects viz mathematics, science, social science and English.
The main aim and objective of this start is to make Bandipora shine in the board exams by securing many top positions. The first mock test was conducted on 22nd August at Boys Secondary School Bagh.
