150 cases settled amicably during National Lok Adalat in Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb 11: The National Lok Adalat held in Bandipora on Saturday settled 150 cases amicably and realized settlement amount of Rs 53.64 lakhs.

An official said 273 cases were taken up before five benches of the Lok Adalat at different locations.

The adalat was organised under the guidance of Chairman District Legal Services Authority and Pr. District and Session Judge Bandipora Amit Sharma and supervision of Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora Nusrat Ali Hakak.

Officials said five benches were constituted for the said Lok Adalat comprising of a Presiding Officer and a Member. 

The First Bench was presided over by Pr. District & Session Judge Bandipora Amit Sharma while Additional Sessions Judge, Bandipora Khursheed ul Islam acted as Member.

Second Bench was presided over by CJM Bandipora Abdul Qayoom Mir while Munsiff/JMIC Chairman TLSC Bandipora Shayesta Nazir acted as a Member. 

The third Bench was presided over by Chairman TLSC Sumbal Bazila Bashir while Advocate Ghulam Mohammad Bhat acted as a member. 

Fourth Bench was constituted at Tehsil Office, Bandipora that was Presided over by Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bajad, Ex. Magistrate 1st Class Bandipora while Zeeshan Faazil Naib Tehsildar acted as a Member.

The fifth Bench was organised at Tehsil Office, Sumbal that was presided over by Executive Magistrate 1st Class Sumbal Zeeshan Tahir while Nazir Ahmad Lone, Naib Tehsildar acted as a member.
