137 Cases reported in 04 Micro-Containment Zones of Bandipora
Sampling and vaccination being carried out vigorously: DC Bandipora

Bandipora, 22 April: with a surge in new cases of Corona virus positive cases reported in Bandipora, atleast 137 active cases have been found only in 4 micro-containment zones of the district.
Data reveal that 04 Micro-Containment zones including Saderkoot Bala, Jaan Mohalla Kaloosa, Mangnipora and Qazipora have at least 137 active cases of Covid-19 till date.
An official giving details, said that Saderkoot Bala has 68 active positive cases, Jaan Mohalla Kaloosa 12, Mangipora 22 and Qazipora 35 active positive cases.
Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmed said that the aggressive contact tracing and targeted sampling of contacts and other vulnerable persons besides vaccination of eligible persons is being done vigorously in the Micro-Containment Zones by teams of Health Department.
He appealed all eligible persons of these areas to come forward voluntarily for vaccination for their own safety and wellbeing.
DC Bandipora also appealed the people not to lower the guard and continue to take precautionary measures including wearing of masks and maintaining social distance to keep themselves safe from getting infected. He said the district administration is making all possible arrangements to ensure safety of the people and said that the peoples cooperation is must to fight the pandemic.
On thursday, 1965 new COVID-19 positive cases across the Jammu and Kashmir have been reported out of which Bandipora has 13 cases taking the total tally of active positive cases of District Bandipora to 174.
