Bandipora, Dec06:- Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Bandipora police acting on a reliable information, arrested two drug peddlers in Bandipora district and recovered 4kg of charas.
SSP Bandipora Zulfikar Azad said Bandipora police Laid seperate Naka's at Aloosa and Kaloosa and arrested two drug peddlers during checking and also recovered 4kg of charas from Their possession.
Case FIR No166/2017 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused Nisar Ahmad Turk s/o Mir Hussain Turk Resident of sheik Muqam Bandipora and a case FIR No 167/2017 u/s 8/20 stands registered against Mohd Iqbal mir s/o Mohd Ramzan mir resident of Dachigam Bandipora in police station Bandipora and investigation has been taken up.
Senior superintendent of police Bandipora, Sheikh Zulfkar Azad while talking to Kashmir Convener, said Bandipora Police has started war against drug peddlers and has recovered 20-35kgs of charas and other drugs so far. He said in one year they have slapped 10 PSA's against drug peddlers and reaffirmed that they will continue the drive in future as well. a
SSP Zulfikar said for the purpose a special Team led by SHO Bandipora syed Gazanfur under the supervision of Dysp Hqrs Mir Murtaza has been constituted to curb the menace and sought help from local people to curb this menance.
