Valley shuts against abrogation of Article 35-A

Srinagar, August 12: Curfew has been imposed in various parts of Kashmir as valley shuts to protest against the abrogation of Article 35-A. 

The strike call was given by Joint Resistance Leadership and was supported by 
Kashmir Traders Manufacturers Federation and Kashmir Economic Alliance. 

Reports say that curfew like restrictions have been imposed in downtown Srinagar and various other towns of the valley. Curfew was also imposed in Kupwara district.

Meanwhile complete shut down is being observed in the valley in response to he call. Shops, Schools, Educational institutions and other commercial establishments have been  closed while traffic is off the roads. 

Kashmir University postponed the exams which were scheduled to be held today
