Srinagar, May 18: Scores of deputations and individuals in large numbers met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today and demanded extension of developmental activities in their areas and pacing up the works already under execution.
The deputations invited attention of the Chief Minister towards their problems and sought their immediate redressal.
A deputation of people from Gurez led by Faqir Muhammad Khan today thanked the Chief Minister for extending air services to Gurez, which they said would be of great help to patients and students in particular.
The deputation demanded extension of the air service upto Tulail to facilitate people of that area as well.
The deputation also sought construction of tunnel through the Razdan top to facilitate all weather movement of traffic on the Bandipore-Gurez road. They also sought augmentation of power, ration, health and other essential supplies in the area.
The Chief Minister assured the deputations that the issues raised by them would be looked into and processed appropriately. She said her Government has endeavoured to take every region of the State on the march of development and no area or section of the society would be left out. However, she said, peace is imperative for undertaking development activities and sought their cooperation and contribution in maintaining peace which would ensure time bound completion of developmental works in the State.
