Kashmiri Journalist is new Executive Editor of International Business Times

Srinagar, April 24: A young Kashmiri journalist Danish Manzoor will lead the Indian Edition of International Business Times, the organisation announced last weekend.

International Business Times (IBTimes) is a digital global news publication and according to their surveys, it delivers international business, politics & current affairs news to an audience of over 15 million people in India (roughly) and 75 million worldwide every month through its network of digital publishing platforms (total roughly 90 million readers in 190 countries).

Danish, a resident of Srinagar city, started his career in broadcast journalism at a very early age. His Investigative Journalism and entertainment based TV shows on J&K’s local TV networks won accolades due to his excellent diction & anchoring style.

A graduate in Mass Communication & Multimedia Production from GDC Baramulla, Danish was also amongst the university toppers in Communication & Journalism at Osmania University.

He went on to become the Resident Editor of Dainik Jagran’s English venture Jagran CityPlus in Hyderabad & Bangalore. He was the youngest to Head India’s Biggest Tabloid Newspaper Mid-Day’s Pune edition as its Resident Editor. He returned to India (from Dubai) to launch an online political & social polling start-up as co-founder and CCO, which he quit for undisclosed reasons (grapewine suggests it was due to ideolgical differences).

As an editor Danish maintains a very low profile & is known to lead by example. An expert in digital / social media scaling up of news content with a firm understanding of broadcast, print media, social and digital media he rose up the ranks fast in his career owing to his pathbreaking editorial strategies and people management skills.

In a statement posted on LinkedIn, International Business Times HR welcomed Danish as it’s new Executive Editor & wished him success. Danish will lead the editorial operations & strategy of IBTimes India edition in a bid to increase its digital footprint globally with a strong focus on news & multimedia content from the Indian subcontinent.
