Paribal, March 20: With recruitment rally of army round the corner, Army Camp at Paribal organised a pre-recruitment training-cum-counseling camp at Paribal Bandipora which continued for 12 days.
An official spokesperson said the counseling camp was organised under the aegis of Wular Warriors, in continuation with its incessant efforts to motivate and guide the youth of their area to join army.
He said the pre-recruitment training was organised at two different places to facilitate maximum participation and a total of 56 boys from neighbouring villages including Ashtingo, Gujjarpatti, Watlab, Kehnusa, Bangladesh, MS Mir, Onagam, Kaloosa, Qazipura, Watapur etc underwent the training,
Spokesperson said the aim of the training capsule was to orient and acquaint the youth about the recruitment procedure and included preparation for written examination, physical training and medical examination. “Not only this, relevant books were also prescribed to the candidates which will assist them in preparing for recruitment scheduled at Pattan in Apr 2017,” he added.
He said the initiative by the Army was appreciated by the locals especially the youth and the event turned out to be a huge success, which is evident from the large strength which attended the training. “Overall, it was an educative experience for youngsters who were elated by the guidance and assistance provided by Army and event is seen as a major step towards assisting youth in getting employment, joining them to mainstream and creating a strong bonhomie between the local populace and Army”.
