Srinagar | Jan 25 (PTK):Sharply reacting against proposal of Pandit colonies, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani said that we don’t oppose their rehabilitation; instead we are all against setting separate townships for migrant Pundits.
Wednesday, Syed Ali Geelani expressed his serious concern over the identification of eight hundred Kanals of land for proposed Pundit colonies and said that state rulers are following RSS ideology and a conspiracy is being hatched to create situation like that of Palestine. We welcome their return to valley, said Geelani and nobody opposes their return, however separate colonies are not acceptable.
Blaming India for nurturing and instigating sectarian sentiments, Syed Ali Geelani said that they are desperate to communalize situation and defame ongoing freedom movement. Pundits are important part of our society and we want to revive glorious past between the two communities, said Geelani. Pro-freedom leader said that administration should share responsibility for their rehabilitation and provide them with sufficient assistance so that they can reconstruct their devilling’s in their respective hometowns.
Warning state administration for their misadventure, Geelani said that we won’t allow anybody to create Palestine like situation here and we will fight tooth and nail and said stubborn approach of state rulers will prove counterproductive. Criticizing Indian rulers for their deceit, Geelani said that the move is aimed at to protract uncertainty and instead of resolution of Kashmir issue, they are trying hard to malign and bring bad name for people of state.
Criticizing state and Delhi rulers for their double dealing, Geelani said that their sole aim is to portray resistance movement as communal one and asked state rulers to show wisdom and refrain to display their state and military might. Geelani while lashing at administration said this move will neither serve to Pandit community nor it will serve any good to state. (PTK)
