Curfew remains in Srinagar on 97th consecutive day

Srinagar | Oct 13 (PTK): Curfew remained in force in Srinagar and normal life was paralyzed on the 97th consecutive day.
Curfew remains in force in five police stations Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, Safa Kadal and Maharaj Gunj in Srinagar.
Sources said while there were no curbs on the movement of people anywhere in valley, restrictions on the assembly of people under Section 144 were in force throughout the Kashmir Valley.
The unrest has been continuing in the conflict hit Kashmir valley since July 8- when Hizbul commander Burhan Wani was killed in an encounter with forces in south Kashmir Anantnag. (PTK)
