The first meeting of the Global Humanitarian (world humanitarian summit) was held on 23-24 May 2016 in Istanbul wherein Nine thousand participants from 173 member countries, including 55 heads of governments and states, private sector representative hundreds, and thousands of people from the community civil and non-governmental organizations participated. UN countries were never together in 70 years on this scale. Basic shares, owned by government and people of Turkey in facilitating this historic event were a worthwhile activity. (Unedited summary of the Convention on the official website)

This program seeks to invite leaders, organizations and young people to teach them from youthhood. United Nations people in Turkey were presenter of the program and Turkish President, Erdogan, was considered as one of the hosts. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations attended the conference and a press conference was held in his presence. Media were also active.

Various programs on the Internet, such as live broadcasting, fan pages, using the hashtags and Mentions on social networking, mobile application were some of the activities, Program website was constantly updated, and quotes, photographs and statements, experience of non-attending people were released. Schedule of the live programs was conducted for the people who participated in the conference remotely. Besides, programs related to arts and culture of communities, were also held.

In this program, founders of social networking sites, religious and political leaders were invited to participate in the program. Individuals enrolled as a volunteer in Turkey presented some external services such as reporting, interviewing, photography, descriptions and updating the virtual space.

Earlier volunteers announced through websites, social pages, ads and various UN agencies that can sign up via email for various activities. Inside and outside the conference venue, news and information spread hand by hand. Activists also played role in creating reports and explaining about the programs. Heads of state, celebrities, and international organizations were active in sharing quotes and news on the Internet. Twitter and Facebook were the most active social networks.

My personal experience was successful with good feel of being heard, being represented by an area with too much misunderstandings, served human being. The international affairs between India and Iran, and issues between Muslims and other religions, as well as cases of Islamic schools made this activity more attractive to me. Such feeling that something must be done, should speak and not to be neutral or unaware.

On LinkedIn, Google Plus and Instagram also the activities were continued; for example the Pope, the Catholic world leader released a photo on Instagram to support this program. One drawback of the program was that there were no mobile internet networks. It seemed that users had access via apps like Whats app or Telegram through defined packages for the particular apps, were faced limitation for connecting to the program. YouTube was a channel for various meetings and updated concrete presentation for the project.

Apart from interaction between world leaders, UN agencies, journalists, social activists, and volunteers were in connection with each other and interacted with ordinary people as well as the conference. Volunteers built the Facebook group for information and expressed their comments and suggestions. It was suggested that each volunteer should record a one-minute video on the Internet to express his/her feeling and ideas about the program and share it on the social media. It was for use the power of sound and image to attract more attention.

Volunteers came t13405370_256443408045137_429548667_oogether from different countries. For people in a same country established dialogue, trading opportunities were provided to the people of the world to be in touch for the future Humanitarian activities. Digital Advocates heard each other’s voice and talked about their own countries. Deficiencies and solutions were proposed including how can they invite country leaders so that they can extend the mandate of the United Nations work.

Live broadcasting was available on the conference website and registration/ Applying was created on the site. The live photos, comments and schedule programs, links of previous and current statements were visible on this website. Five live television channel covered Speech of countries and different religions, news conference, Statement by Young Ambassadors, and meetings of the members as well as a live concerts, also the results and decisions … The problem was only in sound quality and concurrency of programs.

It seems that the main result of the summit was gathering of people from all walks of society to be thinking and one of the newest sectors was online advocates who are able to sort out loud to the meeting. The online advocates were more and had communication with each other, and hence  can institutionalize this form of activism to create awareness to help communities. There is more need to use the platform for this purpose. It should mention that using the people who have studied in the field of human sciences and have university education can help in the notification, coordination, identifying strategic and social issues. Aim of this program is to bring together academics, students and the professors.

The United Nations can be invited to hold such meetings in other countries or each country can have the same as a local domestic program for thinking between religions, languages and cultures and so on. To the most minimal achievement of such program can be seeing and hearing all the representatives of these groups even if won’t come in to any decision or practical result at the end. It seems one of the goals of the United Nations is being seen as minority which has become a global affair too that promoted from the West which can be discussed in a different note.

We need to define, repeat, criticize, improve, share, and remind the entire subject. UN definition, the definition of the humanity, and the definition of serving human kind. Define goals counted for the organization and humanity conference, and define the share of humanity and even its definition of the humanity word. It should be clearthat definitions marked on the basis of which philosophical-political schools or religions or organizations and the capitalist economy; And basically what and to what extent the definitions of service to humanity is divided in different countries. For example, why the problems in the Western developed countries are broadcasting less on the news and weaknesses of these countries are not monitor.

My personal experience was successful with good feel of being heard, being represented by an area with too much misunderstandings, served human being. The international situation between India and Iran, and issues between Muslims and other religions, as well as cases of Islamic schools made this activity more attractive to me. Such feeling that something must be done, should speak and not to be neutral or unaware.

Despite all criticisms, comments and suggestions, I am eager to experience more and unofficial representatives of the people with the United Nations. I think human problems are too much these days and every person has a responsibility to attend such activities.Poverty, illiteracy, intolerance, extremist ideas, war and terror are in all countries, ethnicities, races and religions that are life-threatening cause for humanity. It seems the world is a better world if all consider equal even if stand in any position being ready to sit and have dialogue with others. It is important that human humiliation come to end and people try like each other.
As a digital advocate, I think if only we can spear this message to the world, can be done an effective step in the progress/ development of humanity.
