No Shortcuts To Salvation

Humans have a natural tendency to like instant gratification. In this day and age when mankind is used to getting things done instantly, there is every possibility to apply this concept to the religion as well. It is an appealing concept to get salvation without doing any good deeds. Supposedly one such way to attain salvation is blowing oneself up. However there are no shortcuts to salvation. Salvation is attained through worshipping Allaah alone and living Islam, not by killing oneself and, harming life and property of others.
Blowing oneself up is akin to suicide and is strictly prohibited in Islam. “And do not kill yourselves [an-Nisa 4:29]. And the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron will have that iron in his hand, thrusting it into his belly in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. [Bukhaari, Muslim] There are some militant groups allowing and even encouraging this concept but majority and mainstream scholars of Islaam are against suicide bombing. It is not allowed to in Islam anyway, and it is not conducive in ways other than that which involve faith. Suicide bombing operations result in the death of a person which ultimately brings no or little benefit to the cause for which the person dies. In fact it leads to the death of innocent people, damage of public as well as private property and if the enemy is powerful, then it can lead to far greater revenge. It is obvious that the enemy will not kill one person in retaliation but they will kill as many people as possible.
If and when there is a legitimate jihad then participating in that and attaining martyrdom thereof is praiseworthy. But killing oneself and the innocent people around with explosives is not permissible. In fact it comes under the category of major sins and the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever kills himself with something in this world will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection. [Bukhaari, Muslim] Therefore, neither Islaam allows it nor is it beneficial in the worldly sense, then isnt it non sense to go for this shortcut to salvation?
