 Pulwama residents voluntarily vacate state land for Fruit Mandi

 

Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNS): Residents of Tumlihal area of Pulwama district have voluntarily evacuated the State land measuring about one hundred Kanals, which was used by people for different purposes for decades.

Peoples Democratic Party, Youth President, Waheed ur Rehman Para, who was present when people voluntarily evacuated the land, described the decision by people as a big success and a great achievement for the people of the district.

Para said that the evacuated land will be developed for the upcoming Fruit Mandi in Tumlihal that will not only increase the business opportunities for the local farmers, but will also provide employment opportunity for hundreds of young people of the area.

“People of this village have shown a exemplary path to entire Kashmir valley today by giving up this land, which in due course will be followed by others who have occupied the State land,” Para said.

“If by giving State land, which people have occupied illegally, young people of these areas will get employment opportunity. It is win-win situation for everyone,” He added.

He further said the land will be developed on priority  basis by the state government and a Fruit Mandi will come on it, which will ensure employment opportunities and prosperity for the whole district.
