New Delhi, Oct 19: Independent legislator from Kashmir and the family members of the Udhampur victims suffered an ink and coal tar attack in Indian Capital on Monday. The incident occurred shortly after Engineer Rashid reached at the main gate of Press Club of India after addressing reporters.
Rashid told CNS from New Delhi that he addressed a jam packed press conference in Press Club of India and besides some of his party men he was accompanied by the family members of Zahid Rasool and Showkat Ahmed, the victims of Udhampur attack.
“After the culmination of press briefing I was about to leave. As I reached at the main gate, some people smeared blue ink on my face. As the people accompanying me tried to wipe that out, we were attacked with coal tar from both sides. I feel sorry for the family members of Udhampur victims whose faces were also smeared with the coal tar,” Rashid said.

It presents the real picture of present India,” he said. “What happened to Sudheendra Kulkarni happened to me. The world should see where India stands today,” he said.
